joey.matth It is criminal how underrated Breaking the Relapse is. This song is my favorite by his to date, the riffs are amazing. The blend of the clean and heavy vocals is another bonus for me. Favorite track: Embrace the Flames.

about

"Embrace the Flames" Is my new melodic metal song for 2020. The song in short is an anthem for self improvement. Taking an honest look at your own flaws and insecurities is a very painful thing to do and as someone who is always looking to self improve I felt compelled to write a song about this topic. "Walking through fire" is sometimes the only way to make a change. Facing yourself head on, consciously acknowledge your issues and not giving up to make the changes that you know you need changing, that is the essence of this composition. Whether or not this message is something you appreciate, I sincerely hope that enjoy this song.

lyrics

Verse 1
One life to live
Don't get a second chance
In your comfort zone
Leave your safe haven
You're in control
Self doubt can be shattered
Will you face yourself

Chorus
If you want to make a change in your life
You've gotta face your inefficiencies
No one makes you modify
Its up to you to make your future bright
If you want to make a change in your life
You've gotta face your inefficiencies
As for those who walk through fire
The flames of change will metamorphosize

Verse 2
You're not perfect
It;s all inside your head
You think you're such a saint
Don't you fall for that
All souls corrode
No heart is without black
Will you face yourself

Chorus
If you want to make a change in your life
You've gotta face your inefficiencies
No one makes you modify
Its up to you to make your future bright
If you want to make a change in your life
You've gotta face your inefficiencies
As for those who walk through fire
The flames of change will metamorphosize

Bridge
Can you face yourself
Can you face yourself
